You’re right.
If ANYTHING, it should mention the obama administration may have forced people in retirement back too work
Anyway, NO financial article/information I use to make any decision EVER has political connotations.
ESTIMATES of future business climate and VALID reasons to back them up, YES.
This CRAP, no.
I’m glad you saw that too.

I’m still trying to pinpoint any time that the fraud economist, Paul Krugman has ever been right.

(Like Enoch, Noah, & Lot, the True Church will soon be removed & then destruction comes forth.)
Any nation with over $22 trillion in debt isn’t “thriving” by any stretch of the imagination.
The day of reckoning will come. Sooner or later.

If enough companies leave Chiner, they will feel the pain. The longer they hold out, though they may “save face”, the more they will be shooting themselves in the feet. They have more to lose than we do, including less ability to steal our technology and then turn around and use it against us.

I was laid up for something over a year 45 years ago and to while away the immobile time I read Economics, starting with Adam Smith and moving through Ricardo and Von Mises and a lot of etc. including that inarticulate parodist Lord Keynes.

Seriously, folks, do you really think the Middle Kingdom, with all its history and past glory, after climbing back to global superpower status, is now going to cave and give up some of its sovereignty because Trump demands it? Oooor, one could ask: "Seriously, folks, do you really think the United States, with all its history and past glory, being the Alpha global superpower, is now going to cave and give up some of its sovereignty because a thieving nation demands it?"

Xi cant back down now and if Trump takes the next step in the trade war, China will be forced to match tit-for-tat, lest the countrys leadership looks weak and loses face.
China CAN'T match tit-for-tat. They already started off at the full tit, we're just barely starting to come up on 'tat' back at them. China already has major tariffs on a lot of the stuff we send them, and already has major controls over allowing businesses entry into their market/manufacturing. What more does the author expect China to do? The massive trade deficit is all owned by China - we can go tit-for-tat all week, and at the end of it, we still have a month to go, while they have nothing more! Sure, it'll hurt a bit in the short term as Wally World has to pump prices, but in a bit it'll all settle out to other manufacturing locations (rest of SE Asia, S America).
As for losing face, sure, that is a major cultural thing in China, but what usually happens is Xi and maybe a few others will all be forced out / killed, and the ruling oligarchy will simply have a new fresh face in charge, who doesn't have any face to lose when he first starts, allowing him to make more concessions than Xi.
