When it came to Airline Hostesses - nobody beat Southwest.

Herb Kellerher must be turning over in his grave seeing what Southwest has become.

AirCal gave them a run for their money. PSA gets honorable mention.

SWA is no different than most carriers.

One of Delta’s advertising taglines, “Delta is ready when you are.”, was one of the most difficult sentences to nail when I was at broadcasting school in the early ‘70’s.

One of Southwest Air taglines in 2001 was... “You are now free to move about the Country”.
Sadly ironic when their TV commercials were still on the air immediately after 9/11.

I would vote for PSA back in the day. They even had an ad that claimed the aisle seats were most in demand, showing some guy checking out the stew’s arse.

Theyre building a retro TWA hotel at one of the JFK terminalsThat would be the old TWA terminal designed by Eero Saarinen.

My first flight ever: BDL-JFK on Eastern Airlines in 1964 to go to the World’s Fair. Flight was about 25 minutes. It took us longer to get to Bradley Field in Connecticut from home (one hour). We were all in dresses, pantyhose, high heels, etc.
