When Super Glue has totally set, water doesn’t bother it at all.

Depending on the size of the break, you might get generous with the amount you try to use.

I have used it for so many things I cannot remember them all.

When it is something larger-—I use J B Weld.

It’s just a small sliver of plastic but completely screws up the flow of coffee.

Like this is the biggest problem in my life....

By Joelle Goldstein
December 04, 2018

The dog, Luke, has since been taken in by an animal rescue and has plans to undergo surgery to remove his injured leg entirely

A South Carolina couple has been charged after they allegedly left their dog tangled in a cable without food or water for so long that he desperately chewed off his own leg.

The Ware Shoals Police Department were called to the home of Jessica Kathleen James and Skylar Lane Craft on November 19, FOX Carolina reported. When officers arrived, they found the couple’s dog Lucifer in the yard. ...”

It’s funny i was thinking of that exact same joke before posting.
In CA there would be a sticker on the glue package stating “Do Not Use On Coffee Pots!”
May Cause Cancer”

But on non-porous stuff, especially with a smooth surface, it’s like it’ll just sit there and not cure.

The trick is to use an accelerator. They are catalysts that basically speed up the curing process. I used to build model soldier kits, and used super glue a lot for metal and resin kits. You apply the glue, and then give it a spray of the accelerator. Sets instantly. The only drawback is if you get some of the glue on you, and then the accelerator, it burns like crazy. That is because of the rapid curing of the glue.

Spraying around the edges will cure the whole bond?
I’ve wondered about that with the ultraviolet light as well..

I cannot say that it will permeate the entire bond. However, even if it cures only part or most of it, it will probably be enough to hold it in place until the rest sets.

I really liked it for small things. For example, if I had a model Napoleonic soldier whose bayonet had broken off I could use a small bit of cyanoacrylate glue, and hold the bayonet in place while spraying. The part would instantly adhere without my having to hold it forever, and it would use less glue and be less likely to have a blob effect from the glue.
