I had a ‘72 Firebird Espirit back in high school. Only 5500 Firebirds were built that year due to auto workers strike. I would give my right arm to have that car today.

I had a ‘69 with a 350 short block...put in a crane H-312 cam, Junior headers, 456 gears and some other goodies...got around 8MPG - Buffalo was 50 moles or so away and if I started with a full tank and didn’t get there in 20 minutes, I could cruise a little before filling up for the return trip...
