Climate change: Scientists test radical ways to fix Earth's climate

Scientists in Cambridge plan to set up a research centre to develop new ways to repair the Earth's climate.

It will investigate radical approaches such as refreezing the Earth's poles and removing CO2 from the atmosphere.

The centre is being created because of fears that current approaches will not on their own stop dangerous and irreversible damage to the planet.

The initiative is the first of its kind in the world and could lead to dramatic reductions in carbon emissions.

Refreezing the poles

One of the most promising ideas for refreezing the poles is to "brighten" the clouds above them.

The idea is to pump seawater up to tall masts on uncrewed ships through very fine nozzles.

This produces tiny particles of salt which are injected into the clouds, which makes them more widespread and reflective, and so cool the areas below them.

I doubt very much that H bombs could affect earth's tilt at all. The energy needed to change it a single degree would probably wipe out all life, but it would also have to be angled favoring a particular direction, whereas a nuclear blast radiates equally in all. A shaped nuclear charge? I don't know if that's possible.

I'm not against the idea that humans are altering the climate, I just want some good evidence, for which there is currently none, or it's cherry-picked. Does wanting evidence make me a science denier? Ask the idiots who think they are scientists just because they have blind faith in global warming.

Totally agree - now this made me think of A Time-Lapse Map of Every Nuclear Explosion Since 1945.

And how much would they have to do to ‘counter” all that the people of the earth are supposedly doing? They gonna get a $50 trillion a year budget?

What could go wrong?
I’m no scientist but I know what happens when I throw salt on my driveway every winter.
What if I threw salt on an entire ice cap?
