Sen Rand Paul (R-KY) ripped fellow Republican senators for their continued harassment of the Trump family.
On Wednesday dummy Senator Richard Burr (R-NC) subpoenaed Donald Trump Jr. to retestify before the Senate Intelligence Committee in an attempt to continue to harass the president’s family.
Several RINO Republicans support Burr and his latest attempt to harass Donald Trump Jr.
Rand Paul weighed in,
“I think it’s a very unfortunate thing. I think it’s persecution of the president’s family… This would not go forward without Republican complicity. So I think it’s a mistake for Republicans to keep putting the Trump family through this. And I really think they ought to drop it.”
Burr should be forced to revoke the subpoena.

Hard to say whether this is complicity or weakness. Probably a little of both, with a touch of resentfulness added in. Its the backstabbing GOP after all.

I’m past the point of being hopeful. After all these years its pretty clear the GOP is immune to change or reform. The party’s DNA is indelible. It is what it is.
When Burr comes up for re-election, if he doesn’t have a primary opponent, I’m sending money to the Dem, even if they’re a lesbian mermaid lawyer.

He has said he’s not running in 2020. He is part of the effort to throw the Senate to the Dems, but North Carolina is a good state with a good number of solid Republicans such as Mark Meadows, who could probably win the state.
I agree & McConnell could do it, but I doubt he will.
He already announced that he won’t run for re-election.
The dirty little secret is that Mitch is OK with this nonsense. Other than a few disingenuous gripes from some members of the party (all for PR purposes) nothing is being done to dissuade or punish Burr for this outrageous presidential harassment.
