The hysteria is very, very real, and the Washington Swamp is practically percolating because of it. President Trump has been working overtime to thwart the best efforts of democrats to undermine his presidency. Unfortunately for Trump, much of what Congress is attempting to do, however distasteful and wasteful that it is, is likely protected by the Constitution. This makes Trump’s rebukes of the processes a troubling piece of optics. On one hand, the President is defending himself against attacks that are undoubtedly driven by partisan politics, but his defenses are triggering some alarming language to emerge on the left side of the aisle.

Seems a lot of people are sure the senate won’t vote to remove. I would caution that they have a lot to lose if there were an actual investigation of the investigation. As evidenced by the senate intelligence comity’s recent subpoena for Trump Jr.

Yep. Total about-face, ordered by people (probably not Americans) who have a lot of money. Nancy is making the wrong choice. Sucks to be her. The good news for her is that there is no possible way she can be voted out of office (a glass of water would beat a Republican in San Fran), but she just kissed her Speaker position bye-bye in 2020. I'm more confident than ever that we get the House back. She's going all-in and doesn't have the cards.
