House Democrats barreled ahead on Wednesday with a vote to hold US attorney general William Barr in contempt of Congress, citing his failure to hand over the full unredacted version of special counsel Robert Mueller’s report on Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election. The Democratic-led House judiciary committee voted along party lines to hear contempt proceedings against Barr in a dramatic escalation of the conflict between Democrats on Capitol Hill and Donald Trump’s administration. Representative Jerrold Nadler, the panel’s chairman, said Barr’s refusal to comply with the requests of US lawmakers amounted to a “constitutional crisis”.

Were they this mad when a Special Counsel investigated the previous occupant of the White House and the AG, at the time, didn’t release the report? Ummmmmm..

There, it took a bit, but I fixed it.
Will so called “republicans” ever seriously fight back? No, they hate Trump as much as the dems and are actually enjoying what is happening. Trump’s only hope here is if barr appoints a SC, but that will never happen. barr has pretend defended Trump on tv, but it is all lip service. Over 3 years, maybe even much longer, and no one has been held accountable. This next election is going to be a blood bath for republicans. They are dead, we need a new party.
TV comedians are no longer funny, but I have been laughing all morning at the democrat drama queens.
This is such a non-controversy. The members of the judiciary committee can already see the full report- they just can’t take it with them. They can also appoint an aide to read it for them.
The Dems who have security clearance are allowed to go into a locked room and read the unredacted version of the report. Zero dems have done so. This is a complete farce.
It's already been released.
Barr has told the committee that the report, unredacted except for grand jury information which is illegal to release, is available for congress critters to read and review at the DOJ. Last I read, only two congress people have taken Barr up on his offer.
So this is not about the unredacted Mueller report.
This is about discrediting Barr because the democRATS know what he's going to find when he starts looking into why the Russia/Trump investigation was started and who was involved in any illegal activity. And all of those people involved would be democRATS.
If they hold Barr in contempt, they still won't get the complete unredacted document because, one, it is illegal to do so, and two, Trump has invoked Executive Privilege to stop them.
This is all show on Nadler's part. Red meat for his radical Left base. Barr being held in contempt of Congress means nothing.
Just like it meant nothing to Eric Holder.
Another fix.
The Democrats attempting to rule the country with a majority in only the House is causing the Constitutional crisis. They have delusions of grandeur.
Democrats are insane.
These Dems are circus clowns. If it wasn’t for the corrupt media defending them they would be a laughingstock.
I agree with the democrats 100% here. They need to press on and not let anything or anyone stand in their way. This is a clear path forward to their assured victory in 2020. I have to say, I am deeply disappointed that they have not impeached Trump yet. Cowards.
Come on democrats, grow a set of Nadlers and pull the trigger.
Democrats don’t believe in the Constitution anyway, so there can be no crisis.
