Good late night joints are hard to find.
So it is OK if Denny's employees traipse through the news offices, asking questions and disrupting the workflow???
A copper on his late night break would not enjoy being disturbed.
The reporter is wearing a Walter Winchell-style hat in his photo. I will say that it isn’t hard to get 100% on a Georgia health inspection. That said, a failing restaurant would normally take fast and hard measures to correct, which is the main point of the inspections in the first place. The employees should have been instructed on the appropriate response. Probably something along the lines of “You will have to talk to the owner during the day. If you haven’t come here to eat I am going to have to ask you to leave.”
“Adam Murphy entered the restaurant to politely ask questions”
Who are they kidding? There’s nothing polite about walking in with a camera crew.
Why do ‘reporters’ think they have carte blanche to just barge into a place of business an start demanding answers to their petty little questions like they were the Spanish Inquisition?...............
They should try that crap at the local Waffle House...
If they report on it, where’s the local population going to go for their hepatitis and incorrectly cooked eggs?
The article says that a Mr. Dimitri Lotovski was the cameraman.
Reminds me of a cab ride I had decades ago in New York City. The Russian immigrants had just started arriving, and not a few were driving a cab. I asked the driver how he liked America. His answer: “I love it, but you having just one problem - too much freedom!”
Lol. Freaking clueless.
To answer: Casper, yes, its our culture which is as legitimate as yours. Better.
Blacks should dictate that it is racist to film them and laugh when it becomes racist to film them.
Just doing the jobs that Americans wont do it.
I think saying the reporter was assaulted is a bit of an overstatement. They were given a bums rush out of the restaurant.
Not exactly Southern Hospitality.
Why so defensive and unprofessional?
Is it wrong that I pictured the late Shirley Hemphill when I read that?
How does Denny’s continue to exist?? I went to the local one with my wife’s theater group once, that’s seven people. We all ordered different breakfast meals (it was 9AM or so). When the food came out not one of the 7 orders was correct. Some were totally wrong. It was as if the cook didn’t even look at the tickets but just whipped up whatever was close to hand. I have heard similar stories about Denny’s here and that place has been in business for more than 20 years.May a lot of people like random selections and that is why enough still go there that they stay open. or maybe food is not their primary business. An inordinately high priced clothing store with few customers did recently get closed down as a money laundry. I have wondered if Denny’s is in that business.
Did diversity play a role?
