P,s. Maximum Security was one I was hoping for too. He was the fastest horse. But he did run into others. And that is a disqualify error. It could have been by accident or not. But still disqualifying.
It did look accidental, like he was trying to move away from the rail to prevent getting caught in traffic, which has happened to horses.
We’ve all seen incidents where a car tries to change lanes and hits another car. it’s an accident, but you’re still liable for it.

I don't really have good memories of my time in Kentucky, as is I went back home to Georgia seemingly half dead with my tail between my legs.
My wife wanted to watch the race and I was impressed that the favorite was five to one and had not lost. When the disqualification happened with an appeal from a party at 65 to one odds that was not actually harmed, I smelled a rat and still do. Especially because it had never happened to a winner in 145 years. In less "civilized", yet more genteel times someone would have paid right there where he stood. That was not cricket.
