A horse is a horse, of course, of course,
And no one can talk to a horse of course
That is, of course, unless the horse is the famous Mr. Ed.
Go right to the source and ask the horse
He’ll give you the answer that you’ll endorse.
He’s always on a steady course.
A horse is a horse, of course, of course,
And no one can talk to a horse of course
That is, of course, unless the horse is the famous Mr. Ed.
Go right to the source and ask the horse
He’ll give you the answer that you’ll endorse.
He’s always on a steady course.
Talk to Mr. Ed.
People yakkity yak a streak and waste your time of day
But Mister Ed will never speak unless he has something to say.
A horse is a horse, of course, of course,
And this one’ll talk ‘til his voice is hoarse.
You never heard of a talking horse?
Well listen to this.
I am Mister Ed.

It’s very possible a long shot could win. Just about everyone they (NBC)
asked in their coverage of the event chose a different horse to win.

As a Louisville resident for almost 51 years before moving to Aiken County, SC in 2003, Derby Week is sorta like Masters week. Total nuttiness for the entire week. Charges for gasoline and hotel rooms surge. Seems like the entire town parties 24 hrs a day.
It all starts the Friday before Derby Week with Thunder Over Louisville, one of the largest and longest fireworks displays in the US. Barges loaded with fireworks are anchored in the middle of the Ohio River. As soon as the sun goes down the fireworks begin. Folks line both sides of the river to watch. Some years attendance has been estimated at 1,000,000 people. Quite a show.

My Old Kentucky Home just was sung. Surprised since Stephen Foster wrote music for minstrel shows that the liberal haven’t had it banned /s
