I see it is not working here on my laptop - which is running Forefox v 66.
I’ll check what version I’m on on my desktop PC, where the change I made worked yesterday. Get back to you.
woukld you know how to add ‘top sites’ icons to homepage in brave? In firefox it’s easy- just edit the recommended sites- but brave doesn’t have an edit function for the icons they stick onto your homepage-
I haven’t but I moved from Firefox to Waterfox some time ago as they changed the framework that their extensions use and it broke a few that I used. Waterfox kept the original design for extensions so all my favorites still work.
Well, I just went to the office and opened Firefox -- all the legacy extensions (classic theme restorer, tab mix, adblock, etc. were junked and completely changed my browser look including putting tabs on top (instead of bottom where it makes more sense).
Thanks a lot Firefox...
Grrr...
I have decided to migrate to Brave for a browser.
Screw Firefox. They burned a bridge with me and I am done with them.
Firefox 66.04 has been released to fix the problem.

At least Mozilla did not do this deliberately. They acknowledged that this was a bug, and they issued a patch quickly.
Thank You, i just updated- happy to have adblock back again
I noticed that my adblockplus was no longer blocking as well. By the way, thanks for posting this. I had been having trouble with firefox for months, because of an upgrade that went very bad many months ago. That’s a long story, but to skip over all that, and get to the point, I bit the bullet and upgraded firefox, and everything is great. My old problems with the bad update months ago are gone, my adblockplus and ublock are now working, and I no longer get the nag messages about being critically out of date. Thanks for your post, upgrading mozilla fixed me up.
No, google is the virus (cancer).
Glad it worked.
One thing I liked about Firefox is that you can set it up to delete history and cookies when you close the browser. I cannot find a way to do this on Brave. But, I am now officially fed up with Firefox. Disabling Dissenter was the last straw. Mozilla is now just a PC globalist tool.
OK, but does Brave take Firefox extensions?
Do you know if it can take Firefox extensions?
Yes, it brought back all my disabled extensions and the screen is the same as it always has been!
The only difference is that several legacy Addons now have a caution warning that "they can not be verified for use in Firefox." As I've been using them with my Firefox ESR v. 52.9.0 browser for almost a year, I trust them and will continue to do so.
WOW!I just found out that a developer has produced an update for BBXtra that keeps the format of "legacy" version:
bbCode for Web Extensions (bbCodeWebEx)
From the intro:
This is intended to be as close as possible to the functionality of BBCodeXtra, which was not migrated to Quantum.
There is only 1 top level menu because of the limitations of Webextensions, with what were the top level menus below it.
No if someone will develop an addon the puts "tabs on bottom" automatically without requiring insertion of complex code into a script, I might actually move to a newer Quantum version of Firefox.
