Former NXIVM/DOS slave Sylvie finished her first testimony yesterday on Day 2. The next witness up was Mark Vincente who started at the end of yesterday and is on the stand again today. He's giving a lot of info on the structure of NXIVM and it's offshoots, as well as his reason for leaving which was finding out the darker stuff that was going on.
Also yesterday, in between witnesses, the prosecution played one of Raniere's "sermons" that he had filmed for his "Jness" women's empowerment group - the seeds of DOS. In it, Raniere advocates for female monogomy, male polygamy, and sex with children as young as 12. Giving the jury a little peek at what a perverted a-hole Raniere is.
Miss Ferrone, the Albany area reporter that was doing such great work covering the trial, announced that she wouldn't be there today but hopes to be back in NYC before the trial ends. She says she has some sources and will continue to post updates. Sad to see her go since there's little other live coverage I've been able to find.
Meanwhile, my intermittent updates on the trial I send out on Twitter are being occassionally attacked, so I see that as a good thing. Otherwise the reponses are overwhelmingly positive.
