London Marathon bosses have vowed to conduct a thorough investigation after event staff reportedly hurled 'horrific' insults at slower runners.
One disheartened competitor, who has been put off ever participating in the race again, told MailOnline that stewards yelled at him to 'run fatboy run' and suggested that he should have started the course at the crack of dawn to finish in time.
Jack Glenny, 24, who ran Sunday's race with his twin brother Joe, said that one of the 'proudest moments of his life' was ruined by nasty comments and mismanagement that made him feel like a 'nuisance'.
It comes after Liz Ayres, a back-of-the-pack pace setter, confronted race director Hugh Brasher live on air today about the brutal treatment suffered by contestants who were reduced to tears after allegedly told to 'get a f****** move on'.

This is a marathon for adults who are expected to be accustomed to the hardships of life, and not one for children who need their precious egos protected, right?
Regardless of their size or speed, they completed a marathon, which is no small feet. I’m curious as to how many of those who were disparaging them, especially the contractors cleaning up, have actually completed a marathon themselves.
