Cyclone 'Fani' is now an 'Extremely Severe Cyclonic Storm' (equivalent of Category 4) as it heads

towards India's East coast, then into Bangladesh....

The name 'Fani', meaning "hood of a snake".....

This is a grave emergency. Fani now has sustained winds of 250kph — just 10km less than the 1999 Odisha Cyclone, the strongest in India’s history.

possible Super Cyclone....The American agency JTWC is reporting max winds of 250 km/h gusting to 300 km/h. Very few cyclones in Bay Of Bengal have achieved this intensity.
