As I recall from the distant past, Playboy and Hefner had been sued over alleged pornographic images, and courts ruled that Playboy and similar magazines, were not officially pornographic, if they had other content of redeeming social value.
Hef allegedly thought his magazine was not in any way pornographic, because they originally didn’t show “full frontal” if you get my meaning.
Nowadays that full frontal ban is history, and pornography has gone far beyond just nude pictorials.
Hef supposedly said Playboy was a lifestyle magazine. He resisted any charges that he was a smut peddler.
I suppose you missed the memo on Playboy releasing issues with no nudity at all. But then, you’re not the first one to post about things you know nothing about.
