An online job listing seeking a Swiss driver has caused outrage among members of Switzerlands migrant community.
An online job ad for Schärer Transport AG, a logistics company based in the canton of St. Gallen, has been called out for discrimination by Switzerlands Federal Commission Against Racism (CFR).
By emphasizing the desire to hire a Helvetian and eating pork slices and sausages, we can assume that certain specific groups of the population are excluded, Alma Wiecken, head of CFR, told Swiss daily 20 Minutes in response to furore at the online job listing.
The adverts language also caused uproar among Swiss with a migrant background. The advert emphasizes that the company seeks an Eidgenossen, a term used to refer to somebody of Swiss origin, which can also have far-right connotations too.

I see nothing wrong with the ad.
There are too many snowflakes on this earth.
If I were applying for a job I’d like to know if I would be allowed to eat a BLT at work. If I can’t, then I wouldn’t waste anyone’s time by applying.
The Swiss are VERY nationalistic.
See what it takes to become a Swiss citizen.
And I don’t see THEM ever criticized for it.
Course being that they have all those secret Swiss bank accounts might have something to do with it.
So, a rejection of good common sense is an acceptance of an ideological standard that rejects common sense. If it were me I wold reject the ideological standard because it is it is no better than a crap on San Francisco’s putrefied sidewalks. The Swiss need a good cleanup crew.
Paul had words about that.
Well, there are certain things to admire about the Swiss, and of course their Flag is a plus.
Meanwhile, they have three languages and still retain their identity.
The EU, however, continues to try to chip away at their sovereignty via agreement after agreement.
Outrage! What else is new?
