I feel so sorry for them.
Their lawyer advised them to reject the plea deal.
Cha-Ching!
The lawyer wins!
“a good education for their kids”
So do most people. Me too! And we (mommy and daddy) knew with five we would not be able to afford to do that, so we spent a lot of time with all after school, with a chalkboard and then a whiteboard going over their homework. We taught them how to organize a simple syllabus since school’s back then weren’t providing students with a syllabus. We taught them how to organize their homework, and their studies, and we made sure that either they accomplished all the reading that was required for the next day. And answer the questions provided in the texts.
It was our second job. Our other responsibilities were to ensure that they were physically fit and that they kept their noses clean and stayed out of the criminal justice system during their formative years.
Then I advise them all to join the military and to get their education either vocationally or academically or both from the military’s benefit programs. And they did. Now they were all very independent, self-employed have families and are doing quite well. But that was our work around.
We didn’t have fistfuls of money to either throw away or to work a system in favor of our children. And I wouldn’t have if I had to do it all over again.
You have to grow your children because if you don’t they can go in a million different directions and never become settled adults.
There are a lot of people today who have absolutely forgotten, or are ignorant of the FACT, that raising a family is a very Hands-On endeavor.
The Lawyer ALWAYS wins.
