Same here.
Ive been using them for over a year and I dont miss Google at all.
2nd on over a year as my default search. The James Damore event made me deGoogle as much as reasonably possible.
I highly recommend it!
Just try it once, side by side with Google on any given search term...
I did and never went back.
Screwgle Google!
Without doing a Google or Yahoo search, how do you find their webpage?
mundane searches aren’t as accurate or expansive as google but at the same time you can find things that google censors.
DuckDuckGo is my default search engine.
Every once in a while, if I feel that I am not getting all of the possible results I should, l go to Google, but 99.99% of the time it gives me exactly what I want.
After shadowbanning several of my comments over the months, Google’s Youtube finally kicked me off. I won’t give any more details than that.
To be honest, I’m not surprised. I don’t adhere to their P.C. culture.
They delete a lot of comments out there. They also delete thumbs-down votes on videos where they are doing social engineering.
Big surprise
An interesting read on how many apps and other things you cant use if you really ditch Google.

Google has its limitations in the real world. Today I wanted to see what my local Ace Hardware was charging for a post hole digger. I used the search term, Ace Hardware Post Hole Digger. I guess Ace Hardware hasn’t paid off Google lately because a dozen results from other retailers showed up before the link to a post hole digger from Ace.
And as far as “comparison shopping” goes... none of the results gave me the cheapest option. Lowes had the cheapest post hole digger locally. But when I dropped in to buy one... even though it had fiberglass handles and looked pretty good in the pictures, it was poorly designed and the jaws didn’t open and close properly.
I bought the “Craftsman” after I felt them all in my hands. Craftsman is now carried at Lowes since Sears has closed its doors, it actually has “Made in USA” stamped on it... which was a big surprise. It is a very nice digger and well worth the extra $11 but you wouldn’t know it if you didn’t feel it in your hands. I dug a bunch of holes with it when I got it home.
The cheap one actually had more 5 star reviews than the Craftsman from people who are apparently happy with what appeared to me to be a substandard tool.
Realistically, google is no longer a search engine. At best it produces only tangentially related results. It ignores search terms, only routes you to advertiser based results, ignores quote marks, etc.
It is routine that you search for a precise thing you KNOW exists 5, 6, or more times, changing what you enter and still wind up no closer.
Google 2011-2012 or so was pretty good. Now it is mostly useless.

Well said; with Google it's all about their agenda and their ad revenue. I've been using DuckDuckGo for at least a couple years and I would never use Google again. They lie.
I use StartPage because it has Advanced Search. Most do not.
Ive been doing My part to help. I only use DDG now and have been for probably 8 months.
I also tell others.
Type in http://www.duckduckgo.com or just Clicky de Linky.
Then set as Your Browser Primary Search Engine in the SETTINGS.
I use DDG. But, how do they make money?
