I’m not opposed to alternative medicine, I think there’s a fair amount of overlooked promise there but I’m not a diehard advocate, either. I know certain herbals can be helpful with cancer, but sometimes you need a hammer (western medical science, chemo, radiation or surgical removal) and sometimes you need something more gentle. They can be at cross purposes too, attempting to shore up immune response can actually interfere with chemotherapy. Cancer’s a bitch, and a very complicated disease.
Agreed. Conventional treatment offers the best bet. But, if the conventional route stops working, then alternative treatments may be worth a try.
