My Pastor said it this way, very similar:

If you are a Born-Again Child-of-God, this life is the closest to hell you’ll ever experience. If you are not, this life is the closest to heaven you’ll ever experience.

Most people don’t understand how long eternity really is and waste urgent decisions and time on stupid bling the enemy distracts with.
