I liked Albert and B.B. and Freddie. The three kings of the six string. I have the CD of Albert playing with, in a mentoring kind of way, with a young Stevie Ray.

Stevie Ray Vaughn always sounded like Albert King to my ear.

Oh, there’s no doubt that Stevie Ray got the bulk of his inspiration from Albert King. He could play King’s signature riffs even better than the man himself.

They were a blast on stage together.
