I’ve also seen this many times first hand. I think it’s due to the way they treat their political philosophy like a religion. Facts, evidence, debate, fairness do not matter to them because they are operating on fanticism and blind faith. Anyone who disagrees with them isn’t just expressing a different, independent opinion; they are evil and committing a form of blasphemy. I’m convinced that’s how so many leftists are certain that they and they alone know truth and goodness and why they can be so very closed-minded, intolerant, and arrogant toward people who dare to disagree with them, chosing to defame and dehumanize rather than debate. The Spanish Inquision didn’t debate with heritics after all.
“Victim” groups—or all people in general—are only important to them so long as they can use them politically. Their regliously-held social/political beliefs are everything to them and justify in their minds all the double standards in the world.
If you are a member of a minority and choose to go against them you will truly see the demons inside their human skin.
