I don’t think Bran is the Night King now, but he might become his replacement to lead the dead away from the living. Or even sacrifice himself once he has control of the leader of the dead so that the threat can be eradicated.

“Another episode in another season said the White Walkers were under the ice for thousands of years. So far the story does not tell how they came out of hibernation.”

Climate change.

They could choose to go after the islands. Float the sleeping dead on ice bergs, ships and debris to see if one can reach an island. Then wake up and start infecting new people.

Fly infected dead ravens to the islands, convert other animals, then upgrade to humans.

It was a mending-of-fences episode between all the characters before the big battle.

Arya surprised the heck of me.

That’s more likely in the books than the TV show.

I think Sansa is one of the most wise of all.

Jon telling her he’s the heir to the throne just did put that wedge between them.

“Well, I just watched Episode 2, and it was mostly B-O-R-I-N-G.

Anyone else think so?”

Disagree. I thought it was great. Paced very well, good dialogue, and hilarious at times. All the characters were fleshed out prior to an epic battle.

Arya didn’t surprise me one bit. I like her. She is one brave lady.

Jaime was shocked when Bran said “the things we do for love” wasn’t he.

Jaime seems to be looking at Brienne of Tarth differently. I love how he knighted her.

Brienne is everything that Cersei isn’t.

Dani looked a little pregnant at the end of the episode didn’t she.

Oh. I’ll agree it had its amusing moments. But, it was set in an hour of waiting. It wasn’t as twisted or complex as most earlier episodes were. It was rather predictable in most respects.

If we weren’t on a clock of 4 episodes till the end of Westeros, I wouldn’t have minded as much.

“Coming soon:

The biggest kill off of sympathetic protagonists and anti heroes since The Alamo”

Supposedly, it is going to be the longest battle scene ever put on film. They went through 4,000 gallons of fake blood.

There doesn’t seem to be much more to say, do or show anywhere else. Kings Landing? Citadel? Red Witch?

Otherwise, it is right to it at Winterfell.

Those outside the walls seem likely to go first (Brienne, Greyworm, maybe Jamie). Dragons might be engaged/exposed early on too. Night King can probably build a ramp of wight’s bodies, and get over the walls to go through Theon to get Bran. Maybe they will get pressed all the way back into the crypts.

They have had a history of relief columns coming to the rescue, just when the battle looks really grim (Tywin at Blackwater, Knights of the Vale at battle of the Bastards).

Who could come to rescue this time? Cersei with the Golden Company? The Red Witches with magic, or forces from Volantis? Iron Islanders? Howland Reed? Children of the Forest? Supernatural reinforcements from the Crypts beneath Winterfell? Blowing the Horn of Winter? Just a sudden lucky shot to the Night King?

My prediction: People are going to die!

It would be a reason for them to mend fences and marry despite the revelation that they’re related.

2 episodes of tying up all the relationships and loose ends, 2 episodes of battle and war, 2 episodes of resolution.

“Well, I just watched Episode 2, and it was mostly B-O-R-I-N-G.”

They always start their seasons slow, and ramp it up toward the end. 2/3 of the plot happens in the last 1/3 of the season. That would be just the last two episodes. The next to last episode is usually a doozy.

Even though it seems like the battle will kick off within minutes of the next episode starting, they might drag it out - we can’t leave at this point.

They also might drag the Battle of Winterfell over more than one episode.

Maybe the Night King will just surround Winterfell, while he first flies to Kings Landing, and kills a million people.

I don’t know. Jon or Aegon’s relationship with Dani has changed. It will be interesting to see what happens. I think I know but I won’t post it here.
