Hard to see how Clegane Bowl happens at this point, but whatevs.
“theories about the Night King.”
He is coming to claim his Night Queen - Danerys or Cersei.
He is heading to the Isle of the faces, to stamp out the last of the Children of the Forest, and their wierwood network - that is where the battle in episode 5 will be.
He is coming to stop Bran from going into the past and becoming him.
He just wants to conquer everybody, like most of the other Kings/Queens.
He (Ice) is coming to return balance to the world after the rebirth of dragons (fire).
I think Nikolaj Coster-Waldau is pretty good looking.
Yes
I saw her in a WWII flick years ago and her clothes were off a lot
I have remembered her.....shes Hollands fav hot chick
As does my rib.
And our two daughters
Out lads like Sansa and the witch and Ros.....I liked Ros
18 on show
22 in real world
Nice bum as they say....man I feel guilty noticing very young women who when the show started were children
You could see a flesh colored covering as she undressed. I'm wondering if they made it look obvious to knock down the pedo commenters.
The question that immediately arises is whether that is a significant plot point or just HBO throwing in a bit more gratuitous sex because that's what HBO does.
GOT is full of redemption arcs. Arya's journey is more exotic than most, but her great moment of decision came several seasons ago, back in Bravos. She went to Bravos bent on revenge and reciting her kill list. She joined the Faceless Men, always conflicted about whether to join them for real, or simply exploit them in order to train herself up as a revenge monkey. In the end, she declared her true identity to be Arya Stark of House Winterfell, abandoned the Faceless Men, and began her journey home. Dying in the crypts of Winterfell would be one suitable ending, but I think she'll live long enough to see Cersei finished (whether she does it herself or not). If Arya does survive the war, the question is whether she can find her way all the way back to reintegration into normal human relationships. Gendry has always been the obvious lifeline if that's her fate. Establishing the liaison with Gendry just increased the odds that Arya survives.
From a purely narrative standpoint, I was disappointed that Arya and Gendry had sex. I know, I know
it's HBO, which is a bastion of all sex, all the time. Did the showrunners never stop to consider that the fact that Arya has not been sleeping her way through eight seasons makes her a unique character? They've now brought Arya back to the pack. I guess this leaves Brienne as the only virgin on the show. FWIW, episode 2 was mostly a long goodbye to favorite characters who are about to die. Arya, however, has not yet reconciled with the Hound. I think they'll both survive the next episode and meet again in King's Landing.
P.S. One bit of magic I’d not thought of until now: what if the crypts of Winterfell are protected by the same magic that protected the Wall and the lair of the Three Eyed Raven in the North? If the White Walkers and wights can’t pass, there could be more survivors next week than we are counting on now. In terms of the storytelling, this would be a better, more plotworthy way of producing survivors of rank than improvising a series of improbable Perils of Pauline escapes from a lost battlefield. The crypts are very ancient and could even date back, in the lowest levels, to Bran the Builder. One question is whether Bran knows this and, if so, why he hasn’t told anyone. But this could be a reason Bran is waiting in the Godswood rather than the crypt, as he knows his presence breaks the spell.
Your witnesses are your brother and best friend ... yeah, anyone would be suspicious of that.
After what we've learned of the Quisling/Bush family, I find it kinda funny now. I hope we see Romney's and McCain's heads in future episodes
I hope the dragons destroy everyone in this series and throne is left empty.
Waiting to see if the “ turned “ dragon comes back into the fold and helps destroy the walkers....
You crack me up. Your sons date so beautiful Mr. shmoozer cant even speak! Funny that your wife knows you so well.
I dont watch GoT so I dont know the people. Fantasy shows just bore me so I dont have enough interest even to watch. Star Wars, Lord of Rings, all that stuff just leaves me cold.
Ya want cute guys, ya watch hockey. Lol.
Last night was basically a throw away episode.... IMHO... very little true plot movement. Wrapping up a lot of little things...
Only interesting things IMHO out of last night was the reaction of his aunt to finding out her lover was the rightful king... immediately reacted to him as a threat... I don’t know about you, but if you found out you were sleeping with your nephew or niece, even if unknowingly, I’d place that as a bigger thing to react to than finding out your claim to the throne may have a competitor.
That, and Sansa confronting Daenerys about what about the north when it is all done....
Otherwise the rest of it was just a bunch of come to jesus moments for the fanboys mostly.
He was shocked, because that was what Jamie said, as he threw Bran from the tower... It was a verbal kick to Jamie’s scrotum.... Jamie had to further face what he had done, and the callousness with which he did it.
Wasn’t Daenerys married at one time to her brother?
It seems like the nobles houses of that universe do the ancient Egyptian royal thing. I guess normal genetics don’t work there. (Why would it they have Snow Zombies!) So sleeping with her nephew? I can’t see how this would upset her that much. I think its the competition to the chair more then anything else.
Of course it was, it was a throw away episode, to tie up a lot of lose ends, and basically give the fanboys some time with a lot of characters that likely won’t be around much longer.
There were only 2 big plot points out of last nights episode that I saw...
Sensa Confrontation with Dani about what about the north after its all done?
And
John telling Dani he’s her nephew and the rightful heir, and her reacting to it as seeing his as a potential threat to her claim.
No, her brother Viserys gave her in marriage to Khal Drogo. Viserys' hope was that Khal Drogo's army would help him regain the throne. Viserys did not even survive the first season.
Not that I know of... If Incest wasn’t a big deal, Cersi and Jamie wouldn’t have been willing to toss Brant so casually from the tower just to keep their secret....
Incest is not something that the GOT Universe has ever embraced as acceptable, even though its been part of the story almost from the start.
The fact she found out her lover was her nephew didn’t even seem to register, simply the fact he could be a competitor for the throne...
Ah ok..!
“...The fact she found out her lover was her nephew didnt even seem to register, simply the fact he could be a competitor for the throne... “
That was my interpretation of that scene also!
Her brother was a throw away character, just there to start the plot... annoying little snot, who was going to wind up dead sooner or later, that was obvious from the get go.. his ambition was far far beyond his abilities..
