Back on topic: The 737-800 Max is a flying clusterf*** and Boeing is going to end up cancelling production of it and going back to the drawing board to come up with a totally new aircraft that is efficient and that won’t periodically go kamikaze.

The 797 is already on the drawing board, but it is still a few years away and had been viewed more as a 757 replacement - although the 737 MAX 9 is almost as big as a 757. The A320 NEO is here now - and selling well. Boeing may lose market dominance over the segment due to the MAX issues, but if they hadnt tried the MAX they would have lost it anyway.
