I use "YouTube to MP3.app" from MediaHuman on my Mac. It is a brilliant piece of work. Paste the YT URL into it and you get an mp3 file on you computer. You can paste in a YT playlist and it will convert all of the items. You can set limits on number of simultaneous downloads and overall limits on bandwidth consumed. It is 100% rock solid reliable. It's available on Mac, PC and Ubuntu.. And it's FREE. Highly recommended.

I am not familiar with .opus, but when you ‘download’ from YT or other sources, you might have an option to ‘download as ...’
You should select .mp3.
If you have a lot of .opus format files, you might check Google and search ‘convert .opus to .mp3’ You will find numerous online. You could also download and install a converter on your computer.
