A Break From Serious Discussions SciFi Series That Didn't Get a Proper Chance
Why they should have had that chance? Why they failed?
More like bad Typists. LOL
Miss just one stinking Letter and you’re toast around here.
Could just as well have been Tim Tunnel. That’s where Tiny Tim gets lost on the Subway until Miss Vicki rescues him.
Yes!
I would watch “Tim Tunnel” if Miss Vicki was hot.
The reason Babylon 5 seemed to not “run the 5 year story arc” was because the network it was on, I think it was ‘the WB’ did not renew it for the 5th and final planned season. It was picked up by the SciFi channel on cable for its final year. I didn’t have cable thus did not see the last year until the series was released on DVD. I recall reading an interview with the creator/writer and he stated that the SciFy shown 5th season completed the arc as he had intended.
Third Rock From the Sun.

They were Mormons, yes?

“He said the show was for some reason still popular in France.”

I’ve heard that “The Invaders” was a huge hit in France.
As a kid watching “The Invaders,” my family lived on Long Island, New York.
Years later, as an adult, I lived for a number of years in Santa Barbara, California.
One day, a reporter for the local ABC affiliate in Santa Barbara, KEYT, did a story about “The Invaders.” The local station planned to air the old episodes at 3:00 PM every weekday afternoon.
The reporter mentioned the opening scene of each episode, when architect David Vincent was napping in his car and woke up and saw the alien space ship landing.
Apparently, that alien space ship in “The Invaders” was landing in the Santa Ynez Valley above Santa Barbara, also (years later) the location of Michael Jackson’s Neverland Ranch.
“The Invaders” was a Quinn Martin production, as was “The Fugitive” with David Janssen. The man doing the voice overs for “The Invaders” was the same guy who did the voice overs for “The Fugitive.”
Barry Williams (aka Greg Brady) briefly appeared on one episode of “The Invaders” as a kid on a bicycle. He was one of the aliens, and had a hand held communication device he used to communicate with his fellow invaders.
Years later, Williams said he had wires going down through his “junior jockeys” in order to get his communicator to flash a light and appear to be a working device.
That element was in there too, where “Kobol” was an anagram of Kolob. The religion of the Twelve Colonies appears to have elements of polytheism, though, given their reverence for the “Lords of Kobol”.
I liked that show in the beginning, but then I felt they ruined it and I stopped watching. Was near the end too, but as a FU no one sees I didn’t even want to see how they’ll end it. I was a bit angry about how they went from great to very bad.
Yes. The Cylons were monotheistic while the Colonies had various gods.
He showed up in a Streets Of SF episode too.
The Vipers were cool though.
“The Starlost”.
Wonderful premise, but executed poorly due to both network executives interference and Harlan Ellisons notorious ego.

Mercifully, there was enough fan interest that outside financing materialized for a satisfying three-hour series finale. At its end, we have the galaxy in peace, with John Criton united with Aeryn aboard Moya and holding his infant son D'Argo up to the stars. That and Farscape's run ought to be enough of a premise that someone may one day pick the lock and launch a continuation of the series. Or so we can hope.
