If one can confess and believe the Apostle’s creed then that person is a Christian. Due respect is the honor given.
Individual acts of piety that are wrongly conceived are not an obstacle to that due honor. We dare not think for God. Things we may see as an insult to God were LIKEWISE forgiven through Christ’s broken body and shed blood. FORGIVEN, ABSOLVED, NO MORE even before they are done.
For our purposes (the Q-thread) that is all we need be concerned of as these things (Q) are not of doctrine or Word. NOTE: We are all called ritely tho, to defend the Word of God when used to improperly further a agenda and when correction is necessary. Thrust, parry, retreat.
No one will convince the RCs that their practices may be wrong headed anymore than the RCs will convince “outsiders” their perceived lack of piety is wrongheaded.
