I liked TNG okay but found the “everybody always gets along” vibe a bit trite. A thing I really liked in the DS9 premiere was how Sisko blamed Picard for the death of his wife thanks to his time as a Borg. Right away they said “confict between characters? yeah, that’s a thing again on this version of Star Trek”. A very good thing ineed.
DS9 was far more watchable then TNG.
For one thing Sisko didn’t have his high school guidance counselor with him!
