The Republicans DID reparations back at the end of the Civil War. Reconstruction. It was brutal. Republicans wrested land away from the Democratic slave owners and gave “40 acres and a mule” to every Freedman. Why are Democrats still talking about it? Today 5 of the Democratic presidential candidates are talking about Reparations. They are a little late to the party they made necessary.
Perhaps, repatriation should be considered.

I recall once hearing Muhammad Ali quoted as saying, that he was happy his ancestors had been on that boat, to be brought to America.
One of the great things about America is that nobody is forcing you to stay. African-Americans, or anyone, who feels so oppressed in this country, can move to whatever country in the world will have them, and live there instead.
Those of African ancestry who want to return to the Motherland are free to do so. We don’t have borders to keep people in .
By my estimate they owe us $12 Trillion for all the money we handed out to them, of which was TOTALLY WASTED.

Very few slaves ever got the promised land and critter. But 60+ years of entitled handouts long since made up for it.
I know one thing. My mother's family was still in Sicily cooking polenta with garlic and olive oil, my father's family was in Czechoslovakia eating pigs feet and cabbage, and none of them ever met, let alone owned a slave.
Both of my grandfathers went into the coal mines in Western PA, in the late 1890s, one died in a mining accident, the other shot during prohibition and still never owned a slave, so don't look in my direction for 40 mules and an acre of land.
If we could make a payment to get rid of any I’d be all for it. In fact, if we could make a payment to get rid of anyone who does not like or agree with the Constitution or the principles of the republic or simply lives as a freeloader anyway...I’d kick in to pay them and get rid of them forever.
None of this will ever happen though. We have become to tolerant and fools believe that “diversity is our strength”. It isn’t. It is our downfall.
Oh, it happened and carpetbaggers from up North heated them out of it.
There were significant sections of land that were distributed. However, carpet baggers and some Southerners she did most of them out of their apportionments
