Ive lived in Denver since 1978. This is a typical spring pattern here; unusually warm one day and snowstorm the next. Only thing new here is calling it a bomb cyclone every time it snows to scare the global warming followers.
Yeap, this just happened in 2015. We had two fairly close “blizzards.” One of them dumped a couple of feet up here. The other one dumped a bunch of rain on me, but snow elsewhere.
I was just going to say, lived there for a long time, those spring storms with rapid temp changes are normal. And when they get down to Texas, they call them Blue Northers.
What do they call it if you're at the airport? Or do they whisper it?
I was born and raised in Colorado. This is indeed typical spring weather
Yes, what is with all these new terms? They’ve come up with several new terms just in the last couple years. Never mind the last 20. I’d never, ever heard of “el nino” and “la nina” before that. (Even then I partly suspected it was to get us Americans used to the Spanish-speaking illegals the same libs would be majorly accommodating in the next years.)
I live in plain old boring new york and i’ve seen 40 degree changes between 2 day.
Granted it’s not like this one, but New York isn’t known for extremes in weather so if we can get a 40 degree difference in a day, i would imagine places like Denver can experience much more.
This has happened since I was a kid in the ‘70s.
It’s not new
Worst blizzard I’ve experienced was the first week of April not far from Denver. Nearly 2 feet of snow, next week was in the 60s. This was in the 1970s...
