Doesn’t Newport have the highest average home price in the world? I thought I read the average price for a single family house was something like 2.4 mil.

In 1971 we bought our 2 story, 3 bdr, 2.5 bath home at McArthur and Ford Rd. for 47K - we were the first owner and my friend tells me it just sold for the 4th time at 2.7 mil.

I think my parents were fools for selling that house and I told them that then when they thought they were making out like thieves for selling at 100K. I still ask my 92 year old mother what on earth possessed her to sell. Stupid. Now she’s penniless.
