I used to spend that much on Criterion Collection LDs in my youth. Totally worth it given the massive content and original contemporary films being produced specifically fir the channel.
I may do it. I remember spending upwards of $85 for their initial offering of Citizen Kane. I was up late into the night watching the film and then going through the bonus materials. I am looking forward to the Criterion release of Bondarchuk’s War and Peace in a couple of months.
I decided to invest the $100 for a year. I’ll check it out this weekend. Will probably watch some of the Columbia Noirs.
