DHS will be without a permanent leader in most of its top jobs, including Secretary, deputy Secretary, head of FEMA, head of ICE, Customs and Border Protection, and the Secret Service. Francis Cissna, who heads US Citizenship and Immigration, is also rumored ro be at risk.
Trump should replace him with Dan Bongino, a true career public servant who knows the organization, not some career bureaucrat.
Dems are trying to make an issue of the fact that Trump has replaced more high officials than anyone else, as if that’s a bad thing. Trump comes from the business world where you perform or you are replaced. In government they follow the Peter Principle where they rise to the level of incompetence and stay there forever.
