Your taste buds need re-calibrated. I'm no JD fan (it is drinkable though) but if you something really putrid try Scotch. Think of JD that had cigarette butts in it a month and then strained out. Gin tastes like after shave lotion. If you want pleasure, try Fireball Whisky for cinnamon flavor or Ouzo for anise flavor.
Na, the only hard stuff I drink now is vodka. Pretty much just alcohol and water, sort of like gin, but you know it does taste like aftershave. Funny. I have to slow down however because of my age.
I used to drink Cruzan Rum mixed but since I started watching what I eat I started watching what I drink. I crossed out alcohol, all sodas except for Fruit Punch or Lemonade, all beef unless it’s Vietnamese stir fried thin strips, I eat all the fish, unfried white meats and cooked vegetables I can get my hands on. My whole body had become thinner & my stomach & sides have no handles.
