Listing hardware without use-cases isn’t helpful.

What do you plan on doing with it?

You mention going from work to home. Do you do gaming at home? Or is this mainly a work and web browser machine?

For running MS Office and a web browser you really don’t need much. That said, I’d recommend 8GB RAM and a solid-state-disk, you’ll have responsive machine - although you’ll pay for the SSD.

You can get an adequate performing machine for $4-500. If you want long battery life, an SSD, better graphics, higher resolution display, etc.. then more like $1000.
