Well, they don't call Thanos 'The Mad Titan" for nothing...
I think I read someplace that Michael Douglas was quoted as saying that "it is all about the Quantum Universe". He plays Wasp's father in the Ant Man movies. He and his daughter disappeared at the end of Ant Man and the Wasp (which I liked much better than Ant Man).
It’s kind of a circular argument, but MOST of the holier than thous won’t go to any movie, even those that are solid and not preachy (Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse, The Mule, Green Book, etc.).
I have enjoyed, in the past year or so, “Death Wish,” “Equalizer 2,” “Peppermint,” “Apollo 11,” “The Mule,” “Girl in the Spider’s Web,” and many others. Audiences seem to have finally calmed down, both in terms of talking and phones, and prices are reasonable.
I’ll just read the spoiler summery on Wikipedia.
How come half of the trees and plants didn’t disappear when Thanos snapped his democrat fingers?
When I see it these movies I am entertained, but I am not on pins and needles about the franchise. This has become about churning out product, not telling real good stories.
That’s likely what’ll happen.
But what they WANT to happen is.....
Brie Larson takes the infinity gauntlet, reconfigures it, and snaps her fingers.
All white hetero men turn to dust.
(You just know they dream of it)
Ditto. I find that I have a hard time separating the character from the actor. I just can't suspend disbelief. For instance, a number of the actors in the Avengers are real liberal loudmouths. I don't see the character anymore, I just see an actor who hates my very existence. I figure, why give my money and time to someone who would just as soon see me dead?
Besides, I'm finding that I'm enjoying entertainment from my younger days...and my parents' and grandparents'. WBill Jr and I watched a low-budget action movie from the 80s the other night. The stunts were amazing. He said, "Jeez, that looked real!". I replied, "Because it was. No CGI back in those days...". "You mean, he really was hanging off that.....?" "Yep, or at least the stuntman was."
Was it high quality? Well... It surely wasn't Citizen Kane. But it was an enjoyable distraction, and that's all I ask of my entertainment. And no political garbage associated with a movie that was released when I was a kid.
“Ant Man and the Wasp (which I liked much better than Ant Man).”
So did I. When Scott Lang shows up at Avengers HQ in the trailer, he appears to be wheeling with him something that could be Pym’s shrunken lab. That’s where the Quantum Realm access machine is housed.
I use moviespoiler.com. LOADS of pop-up ads, though.
My Brave browser takes care of that, though.
I’m tired of the MCU.
I don’t see the character anymore, I just see an actor who hates my very existence.
Kim Kardashian.
Sean Penn is playing John Steed.
Evans is the one who recently threatened he might have to cut ties with Tom Brady if Brady was really a Trump fan. That’s enough reason for me to avoid Evans.

Star Wars fandom are in revolt. Kathleen Kennedy and Rian Johnson have managed to kill off the characters that were the foundation of the franchise.....and they killed them off in pointless ways. The scripts have been horrible and the storyline is amateur at best.
Rouge One was the only post-Lucas movie to be a success.
If Marvel lives up to their surprises, Endgame will generate more than Episode IX
Want to bet?
The Russo brothers have been doing a great job of building up to this movie since the first Ironman. The character developments have been remarkably consistent through out all the movies leading up to this one. They wanted an emotionally devastating ending to Infinity War and it wouldn’t be consistent with the series so far the dusted characters to come back quick or cheap. I would bet money that at minimum Steve Rogers/Captain America and Tony Stark/Iron Man will be sacrificing themselves to bring everyone back.
I do fear that the franchise itself is jumping the shark with Captain MarySue and will be all downhill from here but I am looking forward to this one.
I had only watched Ant Man and the Wasp because I had read someplace that it was connected, in some way, to Avenger's Endgame. I was pleasantly surprised by the movie, and, of course, since it is a MCU movie, I had to wait until after the credits to get to see the connection with Avenger's Endgame.
Ran an errand, got back later, tried again, this time successfully.
I'm with you on that one. I, too, am looking forward to wrapping up the journey that I have been on with these characters. Not interested in Captain Feminist.
