A jury in the retrial of the man accused of killing Queens jogger Karina Vetrano found him guilty of murdering the 30-year-old woman and dumping her body in weeds near her home.
Chanel Lewis, 22, was found guilty on all four counts brought against him.
The jury deliberated for just a few hours before returning the guilty verdict.
Earlier in the day, they heard closing arguments as Vetranos parents wept and prayed in the courtroom, hoping Lewis would be found guilty of the slaying after his first trial ended in a mistrial in November.

I doubt he would still be, but if Rudy hadn’t gotten prostate cancer and run for governor, he would have been in for a while and lots of insanity would have been avoided.
A national TV show should be dedicated to the free services and programs offered to inmates and their families and offspring in this country. It would make you sick to your stomach.

Sounds like that verdict will have to be vacated, there is a juror claiming he actually doesn’t believe the defendant is guilty.
As the foreman read out the guilty verdict, cheers and applause went up from Ms. Vetranos family members in State Supreme Court in Queens. Mr. Lewis did not react.

If you were family sitting there for hours or days and you were getting the idea that the jury was wobbling and your daughter’s killer might walk...the usual and “appropriate” response would have to take a back seat...at least with me.
