How could an air powered BB gun be defined as a firearm?

How does holding it by the “bang” end at your side count as brandishing?

Virginia code § 18.2-282 prohibits any person from pointing, holding or brandishing any firearm or any air or gas operated weapon or any object similar in appearance.

How could an air powered BB gun be defined as a firearm?@@@@@@

It is a “firearm in the town i live in in Arkansas. Had a twelve year old on my son’s baseball team spend the weekend in jail in Pulaski County for carrying a BB gun down the street.

It was his cousins birthday present and the cousin came to town( lived in the country) and brought his present with him to show his city cousin.

Judges don’t work after noon on Fridays, without a judges order, once taken into custody a juvenile will spend the weekend ib the lock up. City is Jacksonville, Ar.

Law and order cannot come to the DS quick enough! Hopefully common sense will return with law and order!

It isn’t under any state definition after Michigan dropped its designation. If the VA statute is worded as such, that would have been the easy route, but perhaps they want to run the case.

That they charge $1300 for a transcript is criminal too. The defendant probably already got hit for court costs for the trial, and it is a public record...
