Jennifer Jones was married to David Selznick in what seems to be a classic bidding up relationship. Selnick came through with several films which were personally selected by the great man as vehicles for MS. Jones career advancement. The ‘Song of Bernadette’ was the most famous. This looks like another such vehicle that didn’t fly.
