“I think one or two tours ago Ron Wood did indeed need the money”

My first thought was that Wood was going through another divorce. His 2nd wife took him for a bundle.

According to the Daily Mail Jagger needs a heart valve replacement. Amazing with all the hard living at one time he has made it to 75 and this is the result. Jagger gave up the hard life a long time and does everything to help himself with diet and exercise but the drugs he did early on may have hurt him. Glad to see though that he is in good shape and will hopefully make a full recovery.

The wife got us tickets to see John Mayall and his current blues band this coming August in Annapolis. He’s the father of the white blues and is 86 years old. Never got to catch him live but started buying blues albums when I was 17 in 1964, same year I saw the Stones (and Beatles) in Philly.

I don't think he was ever into the hard drugs or booze like so many of his peers were. And I think he was a runner for many years.
Could also be he has a good gene pool.

He does have good genetics

Look at him

He’s extremely athletic

His major drug use and cigarettes were over by the 80s

Mick pretty much has been a health nut since the 1970s, he barely even drinks alcohol, much less other drugs.

Would be ironic if Keith winds up outliving him.

Ironically their most creative period was their druggiest

66-78

No doubt especially the 4 albums from Beggars to Exile

All four albums are all songs are great quality

I can’t believe Mayall is 86. My favorite album of his is Jazz-Blues Fusion. He is amazing.

Every song good on Some Girls

Last two I bought or my girlfriend when we lived out Katy freeway bought for me

Tattoo You and E.R.

My wifey is nearly ten years younger....she was born when Satisfaction hit....man what a song

She appreciates the newer stuff and saw Steel Wheels and Voodoo Lounge tours

I’ve seen them thrice...

74, 77, 79 or 80

I’m like you Some Girls was a great finale to a strong 15 year run

I hear Page and Plant and JPJ and Bonham Jr ...Led Zep..
are reuniting to fill the major euro dates cancelled by Stones ......hell apparently froze with Sir Mick needing open heart surgery....God love him...took a lot to get Robert Plant to do Led Zep again

Been there twice ....he’ll need likely four months minimum course he’s in good shape otherwise

Man I hate being old I’m going to miss all these bands if I outlive em

Prayers for Sir Mick

My wife is literally doing bedside vespers for Mick....she loves her some Mick

Hell yeah

And some older players like David Gilmour are still incredible. ....Gilmour has his voice better than Mick does

So does Daltrey

And Gilmour guitar is 95%at least

Clapton says his hands are giving out....
I can relate

I get it - I remember thinking when I was a tiny girl that Mick Jagger was very appealing..l didn’t know the word sexy yet. Hope he recovers fully.

Some of my favorite songs are old Stones songs. The instrumental part of Can You Hear Me Knocking. Beast of Burden. Wild Horses.

And that is amazing that LZ (or member’s if same) is stepping in.

When I was a teen I remember the Stones came to town and “because they were so old it was to be their last tour” ah ha ha ha ha ha
