I believe the story. It was hurting Barbara in a serious way. People around him realized it was an issue. If she meant nothing he would have gotten rid of her if for nothing else than political reasons. He loved her..or his libido loved her

maybe true may not be. Bottom line is all must remember source- Susan Page USA Today propagandist. There is an agenda behind this . Typical liberal MO- make accusations and smugly state targets did not refute. That is because they are not on this planet anymore

probably ego....Barbara did not seem like the type to constantly reassure him he was brilliant. Everybody has flaws, though.

FWIW, I had always supported the Bushes, but was always stupefied by their chumminess with the Clintons. About 20 years ago I remember meeting some older friends in tennis who had a swimming pool in Palm Springs, they didn’t use that often and remarked it was nice. Something came up in conversation how it reminded them when Bush had been there in it 20 years earlier with several topless gals and their frolicking. Later it was all denied. Maybe just another Mandela effect.
The other freaky thing about Bush Sr was his fascination with One World Order.
Now that more has come out regarding the Kennedy assassination and his forgetfulness of his location at the time, as well as circumstances of his passing, I don’t put too much confidence in his fidelity.
Interesting study of sin and human behavior.
