For a long time I haven’t used Apple News ... and never felt that it was forced on me. It was only ‘there’ if I wanted it.
And now ... with this new offering, I think I’ll give it a try and see if there are some things I can ‘pick and choose’ and use for myself.
I don’t think you have to be concerned about it being forced down your throat. It’s never been that way. You can pick and choose whatever service you want and dump the others. It’s all up to you.
It’s not. Where did you get the idea it would be? This update just makes it available among other updates with security fixes as well. It’s your choice to subscribe.
