I agree. They generally try to use their looks (and other techniques) to advance in the corporate/government world.
Oh. This isn’t perpetuating sexism at all. A college girl I know is thrilled to be working in an internship with women in a big investment banking firm after having had to quit the first job as the boss was hitting on her in texts
The women contact her and escort her from the subway to the office

Had the same ‘problem’ in the Asphalt World in the 70s.
90% of the laborers were Black and the worst thing you could do was promote one of the men to foreman.
The operators were generally White and a Black had to almost walk on water to ‘get off the ground’.
Making one a foreman was not doing him a favor, he lost his hourly rate for a Weekly Salary and did get a take home pickemup but the Whites didn’t ‘like’ him for general purposes (taking ‘orders’ not good) and the Blacks figured he had sold them out to the ‘Man’ and basically refused to take orders from him.
I got away from it in the early 90s and a friend of mine asked me to ‘babysit’ a job for him (early 2000s) and I was ‘amazed’ at the change.
Majority of the ground people were Spanish, operators and foreman Black with a ‘token’ Hispanic as foreman of a small crew.
Only change was the race, the Spanish around the ‘turn of the century’ were images of the Blacks back in the 70s..

My wife is beautiful and competent. She is and can be the deadly combination of a southern woman smart, competent and right. I dislike good looking people of either gender that get promoted for looks.
