That could be.
I have 4 kids. They are grown now. The thought of one of them when he or she was 6 was gunned down along with their classmates by a sick crazed person would have caused an emotional strain that would have been HELL to deal with.

Those parents went through hell. There was the guilt trip. Newtown regards itself as a good community that welcomes all its residents. A wonderful, happy, high quality place. It was a bit unnerving that a resident felt so disenfranchised that he'd shoot up the elementary school. the thoughts about "how could I have made him feel like part of the community?". Then there's the unbearable horror of what happened. It could well take this long to put one over the edge, as it becomes more real (and less likely a bad dream) every day. They aren't waking up to a better day.
Factor in how horribly used these victims' parents and loved ones were, being marched around to promote the anti-gun agenda. We hear about tragedies, then we move on. Victims left in this world often can't move on, not ever.

Especially afterwards, when they get to spend the rest of their lives surrounded by do gooder lawyers who successfully help them avoid the death penalty. (737 convicted murders on death row in California, for example.)

i agree- some of these comments berating the father are out of line...his young child was senselessly gunned down- just as they shouldn’t use it to ban guns we shouldn’t dismiss this guys pain...
the suicides by the Florida teens this weekend were equally horrible...

I have an amazing 19 year old son and I would be devastated if anything happened to him.
