Airplanes don’t have to look down to search. For this type of thing, I would expect a stand-off range in the dozens or low hundreds of miles away.

Aha, i looked more and compared maps, IMHO there is a lot more involved in this traffic stop than what is being made public; likely (IMHO) other creeps involved, maybe something other stuff in other locations.
