A Special Counsel is a way of kicking the can down the road.
Q answers the question very succinctly in #3178 above.
I actually agree with you. The appointment of an SC can waste a lot of time. Although it puts the coup matter in the hands of a 3rd party leaving Barr and POTUS as semi-neutral parties, it also delays justice.
Barr should step up and do the job he is paid to do. He should get everything out and let the public decide.
The Swamp always tries to avoid direct combats, always putting a 3rd party to handle interparty conflicts, always evading an appearance of government instability. It’s true that mass arrests of members of the opposition party make America seem unstable, but it can also set an example of how the Rule of Law stamps out corruption.
I wouldn’t mind seeing Tom Fitton being given some special counsel role. I bet he’d get things moving in a hurry. If Huber already has it covered, great. But if more work is needed, he’s the guy.
No special counsel. Waste of time.
Horowitz and Huber are already a year into the job.
Assuming they are doing what Q says they are doing.
