Love it there! Headed down with family later this week, driving from Seattle to Palm Desert via HWY395 and the Sierras. I ride dirt bikes in the area a couple times per year with the crazy Cali riders.
Going back in Mid May to ski and dirt bike, have never skied Mammoth.
The photo shows Basin Mountain, Horton Creek Canyon and Mt. Tom from SR 168 just west of Bishop, CA about 30 miles south of Mammoth.
