why do you “hate to say it”? carbs are what the body runs on. Grain is important otherwise the bible wouldn’t talk of eating bread, storing grain for people to eat, etc.
People today are so foolish in following this or that new eating trend. All they do is trade one problem for another. In the short term their shift seems to work (lose weight, lower some number on lab report) but long term low carb eating (cutting out grains and starch veggies) hurts the body in ways, and for some people the symptoms show up sooner than for others.
I wonder if “ My name is Bob Greene, and I recently had a heart attack” had anything to do with low carb eating? I mean he’s a personal trainer, exercises a lot and you would think eats super healthy himself. You would think by some current diet/lifestyle advice his heart should be super healthy. Also Jim Fixx the runner comes to mind.
There’s exponentially more fuel in fat than glucose stores in muscle and blood.
This “new” trend is actually the standard diet of many cultures.
There are no vital nutrients found in carbs, nor are there long term health issues from cutting them. At least from what I’ve found. Tell me what I’m missed no from your research in the necessity of carbs..
